How to Train Junior Athletes for Long Term Success
At Precision Athletica we've created an optimal training environment for young athletes, our Junior Development Program offers a comprehensive approach to nurture the next generation of elite competitors.
We understand that parents want the best for their children, and we aim to provide this by giving juniors the opportunities and tools they need to grow and succeed. The program individualises training to cater for different stages of growth and development.
During their teenage years, juniors experience significant growth spurts, resulting in greater physical demands on their bodies. With this in mind, our Junior Development Program is designed to guide juniors and parents through the different stages of development, helping them to build a foundation of strength, power and speed.
Through tailored screening and individualised training, our program focuses on improving movement patterns, coordination, strength, power and speed. Our expert team at Precision Athletica provides athletes with an environment that fosters an athlete’s mindset through education and interaction. By maximising athletic potential both physically and mentally, our program gives young athletes every chance to achieve their long-term sporting goals.

    Hi, my questions are; why develop tests that require performance when we don't know if from a biomechanical/morphological point of view there is something that prevents it? (e.g. alterations in the length of the lower limbs or functional limitations, altered muscle rigidity, muscle imbalances, etc.). Furthermore, why not try to develop tests that respect the specific sport gesture (in which sport you jump like in the squat jump and rarely in football you run in line, or change direction by 180°) and the performance model (shoe field used in sports practice or calculate Vo2 on a treadmill that cannot reproduce real running)? Don't you also think (this is my concern) that we are collecting data that is not a photo of our athlete? and they cannot be since we involve muscles different from those that the athlete then uses on the pitch, just compare the tests shown with the videos of what the athletes do on the pitch. Thanks for your answer.

    My cholesterol stayed around 220 mg/dL in my 20s when I used to eat meat. I've been mostly vegan for 7 years (I'm 34 now), and my cholesterol was 170 mg/dL a few months ago. I eat some cheese and eggs, but no animals and rarely any other dairy products, such as milk. I'm healthier now than I ever have been, and I exercise less.

      It's part of the FMS (Functional Movement Screening) test battery. It's not a classic push-up. I think it's called "Trunk stability test" or something like that anyway. The aim of it is to assess how well the athlete can recruit the core muscles to not over-extend in the spine

    being 64 and not an elite athlete, the single thing that really caught my attention on the show was about the lining of the veins swelling and restricting blood flow. I'm already meat light so the next step is obviously cutting down on the meat products. who wouldn't want less swelling in their veins, right?

    It is always rather disappointing when someone like this person passes comment on a a film to get publicity for herself when she evidently HAS NOT WATCHED the film. If she had, she would have realised what nonsense her glib Usain Bolt/chicken nuggets the night before an event comment was. There’s a part of the film where athletes eat fried chicken and the fat in their blood is separated out and compared to a plant based athlete. Chicken eaters have way more. Maybe do some actual research next time, Kelsey?

    • @lee-xh2bh
      @lee-xh2bh 3 роки тому

      meat eaters would obviously have more fats or cholesterol in their blood. Most meats are also sources of fat, be it subcutaneous or intramuscular. Do most vegetables come with similar amounts fat content as meat? Meat eating is generally associated with higher incidences of cardiovascular diseases due to overconsumption of saturated fats. That being said, higher “fats” in your blood does not mean u are unhealthy, know what HDL cholesterol is? Eating a plant-based reduces the consumption of saturated fats, but that’s not the only way to circumvent it. This is why lean meat options are always encouraged, fish, chicken breast, etc. U don’t hear ur doctor telling u to eat a chunk of steak for protein all the time do u?

    In fairness, you wouldn't get meat eaters promoting a vegan diet. And you should also watch What the Health. Veganism us definely the best diet for humans, the evidence is becoming overwhelming. Your own confirmation bias is just cherry picking the tiny bits that you can put straw man arguments onto.
